Honoring Our Soldiers: Supporting Their Well-being Beyond Veterans Day
Despite the countless challenges and hardships our veterans faced during their time in service, their courage and commitment remained unwavering. It is crucial that we express our appreciation for their service every single day, rather than solely on Veterans Day. Alongside providing them with the necessary support for their mental and physical well-being, we must advocate for legislation that eases their transition back into civilian life. It is our duty to treat our soldiers with respect and gratitude, ensuring that they are always remembered.
Both my father and uncles have served, and now my niece has joined their ranks. It is evident that the conflicts have taken a toll on their mental well-being, making it challenging for them to cope with the trauma they have endured.
However, despite these hardships, they have shown remarkable resilience and courage by seeking help. As a family, we stand by them, offering unwavering love and support as they navigate the journey towards recovery.
