I'm struggling with past traumas
I woke up at 4am this morning and broke down crying. I've been up since, trying to think of how to become free of this daily pain. I don't know how to share my thoughts or emotions with others, and never have. It's a handicap of mine that I am, at times, physically incapable of sharing what I'm feeling. I know I have mental conditions that might contribute to this, but I don't know. It just hurts.. My childhood memories are so segmented that there are gaps that cover whole years of my early life. Just bits here, and there, but the ones that are left aren't much comfort to me. I remember six year old me, in another motel room, lying on the floor by the door, peering under the crack, hoping to see my mother coming back before the motel people, who, I knew, would soon come to kick us out of the room. I would pray that things would get better, but they wouldn't. Even then I knew, it would mean another night of sharing the back seat of the car.
I thank God for what he did give me, which is the strength to face another day, and peace enough to conserve at least part of my young heart, so that I could go on to find Love. I don't know what the future holds, but I pray that we may all be freed from the past, so that we may see that future.
